Presenting an antique Japanese vintage celadon statue, depicting Jurōjin, the deity of longevity and good fortune. This exquisite 'okimono' (ornament) stands approximately 20cm tall and is crafted using traditional Japanese ceramic techniques, giving it a profound and classical aesthetic.

Evidence of its age is subtly present in the patina and the original ownership sticker affixed to the base, enhancing its collectibility. The statue embodies the auspicious energy associated with longevity and prosperity in East Asian mythology, making it an excellent decorative piece for the home or business to ward off misfortune and invite prosperity.

Japanese ceramics experienced a significant boom following the influx of Joseon potters' techniques after the Imjin War in the 17th century. Regions like Arita and Satsuma produced ornate, colorful ceramics that captivated the world.
