This celadon porcelain piece is a rare imitation of the Song Dynasty Ge Kiln ware, a celebrated Five Dynasties kiln. Genuine Song Ge Kiln pieces are extremely rare, with only about 300 existing worldwide, primarily housed in the Palace Museum.

This imitation glaze ware, crafted during the Ming Yongle to Qing Yongzheng and Qianlong periods, is authentic. A similar vessel is preserved in the Guangdong Provincial Museum.

The artifact features a unique peach shape atop a dish-shaped base. The glaze exhibits prominent 'yuliu' (flowing glaze) and 'dianyou' (dripping glaze) effects, characterized by intricate 'kai-pian' (crackle) patterns resembling 'jin-si tie-xian' (golden threads and iron lines).

The foot rim thins, revealing a purplish hue, and displays 'tie-zu' (iron feet) in a reddish-brown color. Despite its size, the piece possesses significant weight.

Based on its form and the presence of holes in the base, it is identified as a censer, possibly also serving as a brush washer.

This item is part of a personal collection being deaccessioned after 30 years of ownership.

宋代哥窯는 五代名窯中. 하나로 眞品이 全世界 300点정도만 存在하며 대부분 故宮博物館에 所藏되어있다..이 倣哥釉는 明永樂~淸雍正.乾隆時期製作된 것으로 眞品이며 유사한 기물이 廣東省博物館에 있다..이 器物은 접시받침형이며 독특한 모양의 桃形(복숭아)을 하고있으며 유면은 釉流와滴釉현상이 뚜렸하며 유약 표면 開片(빙렬) 金絲鐵線무늬가 特徵이다.. 굽의 入口부분은 유약이 앏아져 紫色을이며 노태로 褐色鐵足을 띠고있고 크기에 비해 엄청무겁다...
器形으로 볼때 洗혹은 굽에 구멍이 있는것으로 미루어 香爐로 추정된다..
