These Xuanhua Tongbao Southern Ping iron coins were minted during the same period (1119-1125 AD) as the coins above. They were produced with the intention of being used in northwestern regions like Shaanxi. Facing a state of wartime, the Song Dynasty court strictly prohibited the outflow of strategic materials like copper and increased the reliance on iron coins in these regions to compensate for the shortage of exchange media.
## Collectible Value
This set includes two types of iron coins: 'Mu-bae' (no mark on the reverse) and 'Bae-seom' (inscribed with the character 'Seom', indicating the mint in the Shaanxi region, on the upper side of the reverse). Specifically, the practice of stamping the name of the office or region on the reverse was an advanced administrative system implemented by the relevant authorities to clarify accountability in minting and prevent counterfeiting. These coins are thus important historical materials for studying the circulation system of the late Northern Song Dynasty.

뒷면(배면)에 아무런 표식이 없는 '무배' 철전 1종과, 상단에 섬서(陝西) 지역 주전소를 의미하는 '섬(陝)' 자가 새겨진 '배 섬' 철전 1종으로 구성된 세트입니다. 특히 뒷면에 관청명이나 지역명을 타각하는 방식은 주조의 책임 소재를 명확히 하고 위조를 방지하기 위해 관할 당국이 도입한 고도화된 행정 시스템의 발현으로, 북송 말기 유통 체계 연구에 중요한 사료가 됩니다.
