This single was released in the fall of 1990, shortly after the legendary British acid house club 'Shoom' closed its doors.

Danny Rampling, the club owner and DJ, was fed up with commercial planners distorting the club scene. After closing the club, he conceived this record with the spirit of solidarity and purity through music which 'Shoom' had aimed for, embedded in the name of the project team.

The single 'I Hate Hate' is based on a song by the famous American blues/soul singer-songwriter Razzy Bailey. We reinterpreted America’s deep soulful emotion in a British-style Acid House and Balearic Beat sound. With the explosive, soulful voice of vocalist Steve Eusebe added, it has been crafted into a house track perfectly suited to a club atmosphere.
