A rare 1947 Soviet Infantry Officer's Service Cap, uniquely manufactured in Berlin during the German occupation, not a standard Soviet-made item.

This cap was produced by the renowned Berlin-based firm "EREL" (Robert Lubstein workshop), a prominent manufacturer of military headwear for Nazi Germany during the war. Post-war, Soviet officers stationed in Germany often supplemented their issued uniforms with locally produced items, including caps and uniforms, ordered from German manufacturers.

This cap exemplifies such a case, custom-made in Germany according to Soviet military specifications. From 1945 into the early to mid-1950s, various German companies produced items like belts, holsters, map cases, and service caps for the Soviet forces as part of war reparations.

The interior bears a Cyrillic stamp indicating "Robert Lubstein" and "Berlin." The size is marked as 56, and the year of manufacture is 1947. While the stamp is somewhat faded, the cap is 100% authentic.

The emblem shows somewhat crude paint application, which is a characteristic feature of German-made products from this era, not an indicator of a replica.
