본 유물은 고대 중국에서 국가의 중대사를 결정하기 위해 거북의 등껍질에 열을 가해 나타나는 균열로 점을 치고, 그 결과를 칼로 새겨 기록한 것입니다. 사진을 통해 등껍질과 배갑 양면에 정교하게 새겨진 고대 문자열을 확인할 수 있습니다.

과거 갑골문이 새겨진 조각들은 한의약에서 좋다고 하여 상당수 약재로 쓰이고, 많은 수가 소실된 것으로 알고 있습니다. 하여 자주 출품되거나 보기 쉬운 기물이 결코 아닙니다.

해당 갑골문 조각 역시 출토품으로 알고 있으며 그 흔적들이 곳곳에서 보여집니다만, 전문 감정을 받은바 없으며 정확한 제작 시기를 알지 못해 저렴하게 출품하오니, 안목을 통해 구매하기기 부탁드립니다.
