A traditional Janggi (Korean chess) board crafted using the mother-of-pearl inlay technique (Najeon Chilgi).

* **Dimensions:** 35cm (width) x 31cm (depth) x 18cm (height)
* **Design:** Features clearly marked lines for the board grid and diagonal lines within the palace sections. The board is presented in a table-like format with stable legs at the bottom.
* **Craftsmanship:** The black lacquered base is intricately decorated with finely crafted mother-of-pearl (from abalone and shells). The board showcases elaborate inlay work not only on the grid lines but also on the front and sides, featuring auspicious symbols like bamboo and orchids.
* **Embellishments:** The center of each side is adorned with different, elegantly placed Hanja characters, adding a touch of luxury and sophistication.
* **Condition:** Shows minor signs of age and wear consistent with its historical nature, but is considered to be in good condition relative to its age. 판의 가로세로 선과 궁(宮)의 대각선 문양이 명확하게 표시된 전통적인 장기판입니다.

하단에 안정적인 다리가 달린 상(床) 형태로 제작되어있고..

흑칠 바탕 위에 전복이나 조개껍질을 세공해 붙이는

나전칠기기법으로 정교하게 만들어져있으며..

장기판의 격자선뿐만 아니라 전면부와 측면부에 대나무와 난초문양 등

길상(吉祥)을 상징하는 정교한 자개 장식이 새겨져 있고...

중앙에는 각면마다 각자다른 한자 문양이 고급스럽게 배치되어 품격을 더합니다.
