This is the official ballad best album released by the Japanese rock unit B'z on December 11, 2002.

The album features ballad tracks from their singles and previous albums. Originally conceived in 2000 during the production of "B'z The "Mixture"", the idea for a ballad collection was revisited and realized in this release. Although initially planned for a winter 2001 release, it was postponed to the following year.

The packaging for this release is a paper box, not a standard plastic case. The lyric card is distinct from a typical booklet, featuring an illustration book-like design. Upon opening the box, you'll find this book, with the CD housed in a non-woven fabric case on the final page.

A limited edition "Red Edition" with the same CD content but a red box was released nine days later on December 20, 2002.

Despite being a best-of album, only 5 out of the 15 tracks are singles. All songs have been remastered in Los Angeles, enhancing the audio quality.

This album is suitable for newcomers, not just for its major hit singles but also for its powerful ballad sound that is characteristic of B'z. It achieved first-week sales of 1.05 million copies, debuting at number 1. This marked B'z's tenth album to achieve first-week million sales, a record in Japanese music history. Furthermore, B'z became the first male artist in 2002 to have an album debut with over a million sales.

The Ballads~Love & B'z~ 는 일본의 록 유닛 B'z가 2002년 12월11일 발매한 공인 발라드 베스트 앨범이다. 싱글, 앨범의 수록곡부터 발라드 곡이 수록되어 있다.
원래는 2000년에 발표한 「B'z The"Mixture"」의 수록 내용을 결정할 때 「발라드집은 어떨까?」라고 하는 아이디어가 있어, 그것이 새롭게 형태가 된 것이 이번 작품이었다. 덧붙여 원래는 2001년의 겨울에 발매 예정이었지만, 다음 해로 미루어져 발매되었다.
릴리스패키지는 일반 플라스틱 케이스가 아니라 종이 상자이다. 가사 카드가 북클렛과 조금 달라 그림책과 같은 사양이다. 상자를 열면 바로 그 책이 있고, 마지막 페이지의 부직포 케이스에 CD 본체가 들어 있다.
한편 이 앨범이 발매된 9일 후(12월 20일)에는 완전생산 한정반인 레드반이 발매됐다.
화이트반과의 차이는 상자 색깔이 붉어져 있을 뿐 가격이나 내용물의 CD나 가사카드, 북클렛 등은 화이트반과 같았다.
베스트 앨범임에도 불구하고 싱글 곡은 15곡 중 불과 5곡에 불과하다. 전곡 로스앤젤레스의 스튜디오에서 리마스터링이 되어 음질이 향상되었다.
싱글곡으로 대히트를 친 것만은 아니어서 입문반으로도 제격이며, 발라드라고는 하지만 파워풀한 사운드의 악곡이 많은 것은 그들이다.
초동에 105만매를 매상, 첫등장 1위를 획득. 본작에서 자신의 앨범 초동 밀리언을 기록한 작품 수가 통산 10번째가 되었다. 이 기록은 일본 음악사에서 B'z가 최다이다.
또한 2002년 남성 아티스트 최초로 첫 등장으로 밀리언 돌파 작품이 되었다.
