This vase exemplifies the celadon and glazed red techniques, which flourished during the Ming Dynasty's Seondeok reign (1426-1435). The deep blue of the celadon contrasts vividly with the red lotus patterns on the white porcelain base, creating a striking visual appeal. The intricate combination of scrolling patterns, lotus motifs, and arabesques enhances its decorative quality.

Notably, vases from the Seondeok period are representative forms produced in the Jingdezhen imperial kilns. A comparable Seondeok celadon vase with fruit patterns, standing 27.5 cm tall, is housed in the Palace Museum, offering a point of reference for its form.

While the reign mark '大明宣德年製' (Made in the Great Ming Seondeok Period) is visible on the base in the photograph, it is prudent to consider this piece as an antique vase in the style of the Seondeok imperial kilns rather than definitively attributing it to the original Daemyeong Seondeok period. Nevertheless, it is a distinguished antique vase with excellent size, form, and ornate decoration, making it a prominent piece for interior display.

대명선덕년제 청화유리홍 연화문 집호

명나라 선덕연간(1426~1435)에 크게 발전한 청화와 유리홍 기법을 함께 표현한 형태의 집호입니다.
청화의 짙은 푸른색과 유리홍의 붉은 연화문이 백자 바탕 위에서 선명하게 대비되며, 회문·연화문·당초문을 함께 구성해 장식성이 좋습니다.
특히 선덕시대 집호는 경덕진 관요에서 제작된 대표적인 기형 가운데 하나로, 고궁박물원에도 높이 27.5cm의 선덕 청화 삼과문 집호가 소장되어 있어 형태적으로 비교해 볼 수 있습니다.

다만 사진의 바닥에는 ‘大明宣德年製’ 관지가 확인되지만, 명대 선덕 원다지 라고 단정하기 보다 선덕관요 양식의 고방 이지만
전체적으로 크기감과 형태가 좋고 장식이 화려한 골동 집호로, 인테리어 진설용으로도 존재감이 좋은 작품입니다.
