[BUNJANG] East German Stasi PKE Passport Control Major's Service Tunic / 동독 슈타지 제6국 PKE 여권심사대 중령 국경부대 정복 상의

This is a service tunic worn by an officer of the PKE (Passport Control Department) of the 6th Department of the East German MfS (Ministry for State Security), also known as the Stasi.

It bears a TGL stamp, not the typical NVA (National People's Army) supply marking, and was manufactured in the first quarter of 1970. Since open-collar jackets were only introduced to general border troops in 1974, this jacket was definitively camouflage clothing for the Stasi.

The size is K48-1. (K48 corresponds to approximately a size 100, with the '-1' indicating an option for a slightly larger waist than standard build).

The Stasi's 6th Department was responsible for controlling passport checks, tourism, and inter-hotel establishments. They conducted identity checks and searches at border crossing points (Güst) and managed the movement of personnel both domestically and internationally. Despite being Stasi officers, PKE officers wore border guard uniforms as camouflage while on duty.

While border guard service tunics with cuff titles from 1976 onwards are relatively easy to find, Stasi camouflage duty wear produced between the late 1960s and before 1974 is extremely rare. Therefore, this tunic holds significant collector's value. It is being offered for sale to make space in a wardrobe.

The set includes the tunic and shoulder boards. The MfS University graduation badge is not included.

1976년 이후의 커프타이틀이 부착된 국경부대 정복은 구하기 쉽지만, 1960년대 말~1974년 이전까지 생산된 슈타지 위장근무용 피복은 출회가 극히 드뭅니다. 그만큼 수집 가치가 있는 튜닉이며, 옷장 공간 확보차 구매 가격에 내놓습니다. 구성은 자켓 단벌과 견장입니다. MfS 대학 졸업뱃지는 포함되지 않습니다.
