[BUNJANG] Jeong Hak-bong Celadon Scholar's Brush Washer / 무형문화재정학봉선생-이라보다완/
Master Jeong Hak-bong began learning the art of pottery at a young age, apprenticing under his father, a master craftsman. He learned the traditional methods of creating Onggi (earthenware) pottery.
Historically, Onggi was highly valued for its durability and the difficulty of transport, earning it the saying 'five times the profit.' While modern transportation has changed this, the popularity of Onggi is experiencing a resurgence thanks to discerning collectors.
This piece is in perfect condition and holds significant collector's value. It is signed by the artist on the base (the original signature box is not included). The brush washer will be shipped in a paulownia wood box.

옛 옹기는 오곱(다섯 배) 장사라고 했다.
운반이 어렵고 깨지기 쉬워 이윤을 많이 줘야
했기 때문인데 운송 수단이 발달한 요즘은 그렇지 않다.
찾는 사람들 덕분에 옹기의 인기가 천정부지로 솟고 있다
