[BUNJANG] Korean Celadon Porcelain Tea Caddy with 'Gimyong-jeolji' Motif / 백자청화박고문장군관

This is a blue-and-white porcelain piece from the late Qing Dynasty, originally used as a tea caddy.

As the name suggests, the decorative motifs feature various ancient artifacts, including vases, incense burners, books, teapots, flower branches, and feathers. In Korea, this style is often referred to as 'Gimyong-jeolji-mun' (器皿折枝紋), meaning 'vessels and branches.'

This type of porcelain was frequently used to elegantly decorate the studies or rooms of scholars, symbolizing wishes for academic achievement and prosperity.

As is common with many such historical artifacts, the lid for this piece has been lost over time through generations of ownership. However, it is worth noting that in China, even without a lid, the value of an antique is largely recognized as long as the main body remains intact. For enthusiasts who wish to use this piece as a functional tea caddy, a separate item that can serve as a lid is included (please refer to Photo 6/6).

The dimensions are approximately 21.3 cm in height with a rim diameter of 11.1 cm. The condition is good, with minor blistering on the inside of the rim, but otherwise free from significant flaws (please refer to Photo 5/6).

차통으로 사용되었던 청말의 청화자기입니다.
명칭에서 알 수 있듯이
'다양한 옛 기물(器物)'을 시문의 소재로 삼고 있는데,
화병, 향로, 서책,주전자, 꽃가지, 깃털 등이며
우리나라에서는 '기명절지문(器皿折枝紋)'이라는
표현을 많이 사용합니다.
학업 성취와 부귀영화의 복을 기원하는 의미로
문인들의 서재나 방을 격조 있게 꾸미는 데
많이 사용되었습니다.
본 기물은 많은 기물들이 그러하듯
오랫동안 전세되어 오는 과정에서 뚜껑이 없어졌습니다.
중국에서는 본체가 성한 골동이면 뚜껑이 없어도
대부분의 가치를 인정받는 점을 말씀드리며,
혹 실제 차통으로 사용하시고자 하는 애호가를 위해

크기는 높이 약 21.3, 입지름 11.1 cm이고
상태는 구연부 안쪽으로 비늘튐 외에 유수리 없이
