## Kumiko Ohba (大場久美子) - Calendar (1978)

This is the third full-length album by Kumiko Ohba, conceived as a concept album with one song for each month from January to December, as the title suggests. Features 12 tracks including "Kite ni Notsete 100 Mile," "Anata," "Milky Way," "Disco Dream," and "Mr. Moonlight."

Recorded at London's Round House Studio with the participation of the Ken Gibson Orchestra.

While fundamentally idol pop, this album blends disco, mellow pop, and Latin influences with sophisticated arrangements of the era, leading it to be categorized today within Japanese Wamono and City Pop genres. Tracks like "Anata" and "Disco Dream" particularly highlight its disco leanings.

오바 쿠미코의 3번째 정규 앨범으로, 제목 그대로 1월부터 12월까지 각 달의 이미지를 한 곡씩 배치한 콘셉트 앨범입니다. 「カイトに乗せて100マイル」, 「あなた」, 「ミルキー・ウェイ」, 「ディスコ・ドリーム」, 「Mr.ムーンライト」 등 총 12곡 수록. 런던 Round House Studio에서 녹음되었으며 Ken Gibson Orchestra가 참여한 작품입니다.
아이돌 가요를 기본으로 디스코, 멜로우 팝, 라틴과 당시의 세련된 편곡이 섞여 있어 현재는 일본 와모노·시티팝 계열로도 소개되는 음반입니다. 특히 「あなた」와 「ディスコ・ドリーム」은 디스코 성향이 두드러지는 트랙입니다.
