*This fish, before being consumed, transformed itself into a tool. However, as the blade sharpened, its life force dulled. The heart continued to beat, but the sensation of being alive gradually faded. Perhaps the most terrifying prospect is not death itself, but becoming a mere function, where the boundaries between life and tool have vanished.*

제가 이런 저런 상상? 혹은 망상을 하는 경우가 많아서,
그냥 생각 속에 떠오른 잔상을 그림으로 그려 본 건데요~^^
살아남기 위해 만들어진 칼은 결국 가장 먼저 자신을 베기 시작합니다.
몸은 사라지고 심장만이 기계처럼 박동하지요.
현대인은 살아 있다는 증거를 숫자와 그래프로 확인하지만, 정작 무엇을 위해 뛰는지는 잊어버린 채 살아가는 것 같습니다.
이 물고기는 먹히기 전에 이미 스스로를 도구로 만들었습니다. 하지만 칼날이 날카로워질수록 생명은 무뎌지고, 심장은 계속 뛰지만 살아 있다는 감각은 점점 희미해집니다.
어쩌면 가장 무서운 것은 죽음이 아니라, 생명과 도구의 경계가 사라진 채 기능만 남은 존재가 되는 것일지도 모릅니다.
