A vintage brass candlestick selected with the discerning eye of a Sorbonne humanities scholar. 🌷

This is a 3-arm candlestick with a brass base, crafted in France in the mid-1900s.✨
It features cherub (putto) sculptures, symbolizing 'light and love' in Renaissance and Rococo art, and ornate acanthus leaf motifs, perfectly recreating the French courtly style.
The base, as seen from the bottom, is solid cast brass with a classic white plaster finish applied over it.
Made of brass, its substantial weight and white finish make it a piece that complements not only antique but also modern interiors.

Directly purchased from the Vanves Market in Paris.

This vintage piece has endured 80 years, exhibiting natural wear and minor signs of use characteristic of its age. These are not defects but unique qualities accumulated over time, adding to its charm. Please consider carefully before purchasing if you are sensitive to such historical marks.🙏✨🌷
