These cups are extremely rare and highly collectible design pieces, very difficult to find domestically.
The design is directly inspired by the iconic sky lanterns (Tien Tsen) that illuminate the night sky in Taiwan's Shifen. The cups feature a unique polyhedral structure, angular at the bottom and smoothly rounding towards the top.
Adorned with vibrant floral motifs and painterly brush strokes representing the festive glow and wishes associated with sky lantern festivals, the detailed printing on clean white porcelain offers a different aesthetic from every viewing angle.
In Taiwan, sky lanterns symbolize 'wish fulfillment' and 'good fortune'.
