This is a large, exceptionally crafted bronze mirror (Hwakyung/Dokyo) from the Japanese Edo period, estimated to be from that era. Measuring approximately 39cm in length with a mirror diameter of about 27cm and weighing around 1.3kg, this piece is significantly larger and more substantial than typical hand mirrors.

### Exquisite Motifs:

The decorative surface is intricately adorned with traditional auspicious motifs:
* **Songjukmae (송죽매):** Pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms, symbolizing resilience and prosperity.
* **Cranes:** Multiple cranes, representing longevity and good fortune.
* **Turtle and Waves:** A turtle swimming through waves, further emphasizing longevity and peace.

This translates to "Tenkaichi Matsumura Inabanokami Fujiwara Yoshinobu." Research indicates that Matsumura Inabanokami Fujiwara Yoshinobu was a known lineage of mirror makers whose works have been documented on Japanese Hwakyung from the Edo period, and similar inscribed mirrors are held in Japanese museum collections and documented in antique resources.

* **Mirror Plate and Handle:** Both the mirror plate and handle are intact. The rattan wrapping on the handle remains largely in place.
* **Mirror Surface:** The mirror surface shows signs of age, including haziness, minor scratches, and stains consistent with use and the passage of time.

거울 지름 약 27cm, 손잡이를 포함한 전체 길이 약 39cm, 무게 약 1.3kg으로 일반적인 소형 손거울보다 훨씬 크고 묵직한 작품입니다.

장식면에는 소나무·대나무·매화의 송죽매와 여러 마리의 학, 물결 위의 거북이 입체적으로 표현되어 있습니다. 송죽매는 절개와 번영을, 학과 거북은 장수와 평안을 상징하는 전통적인 길상문양입니다. 혼례·축수·의례용으로 사용되던 봉래문 계열의 화경으로 보입니다.

장식면 왼쪽에는 세로로 다음 명문이 주조되어 있습니다.

마쓰무라 이나바노카미 후지와라 요시노부는 에도시대 일본 화경에서 실제로 확인되는 거울 제작자 계통입니다. 일본 박물관 소장품과 골동품 자료에서도 같은 명문의 화경이 확인됩니다.

학의 깃털과 다리, 소나무의 줄기와 솔잎, 매화, 대나무, 거북과 물결 등이 정교한 고부조 형태로 살아 있습니다. 바탕에는 미세한 주조 질감이 남아 있어 가까이에서 볼수록 세부 표현이 돋보입니다.

거울판과 손잡이가 온전하며 손잡이에 감긴 등나무 짜임도 대부분 남아 있습니다. 거울면에는 실제 사용과 오랜 세월에 따른 흐림, 잔긁힘과 얼룩이 있으며, 장식면과 손잡이 연결부에도 검은 산화 흔적과 청록색 녹이 일부 있습니다.

표면의 산화와 고태를 보존하기 위해 별도의 광택 작업이나 강한 세척은 하지 않았습니다. 큰 균열이나 심한 결손은 사진상 확인되지 않지만, 오래된 골동품이므로 사진을 확대해 상태를 충분히 확인해 주십시오.

사진과 비교자료를 바탕으로 에도시대 계통의 작품으로 판단하지만, 별도의 공인 감정서는 없으므로 정확한 제작연대는 ‘에도시대 추정’으로 안내합니다. 원래의 오동나무 보관함은 없고 동경 단품입니다.
