This album features 13 tracks, including the singles "STORM," "SHINE," and "I for You." It holds the distinction of being LUNA SEA's original album with the most tracks and the longest playtime, exceeding 70 minutes. SHINE achieved the highest sales among their original studio albums.

Reflecting on the album, SUGIZO mentioned in a post-release interview that while the song quality was excellent, the recording process didn't fully capture the group's potential. He suggested that recording after the accompanying tour might have allowed for a more complete expression of the songs, as the music evolved during the tour.

곡의 퀄리티는 훌륭한데, 레코딩에서 거기에 걸맞는 표현을 할 수 없었다.투어와 함께 곡도 성장해갔기 때문에 투어 종료후에 레코딩을 하는 것이 좋았을지도 모른다, 등이라고 말하고 있다
