[BUNJANG] Mookhae Kim Yong-ok & Mooksan Kim Joon-ki Calligraphy Artworks (2-Piece Set) / 서예 묵해 김용옥 묵산 김준기 부자 묵서 작품 2점

This is a set of two calligraphy artworks by Mookhae Kim Yong-ok (1914-1998), a renowned master calligrapher from Busan, and his son, Mooksan Kim Joon-ki.

Mookhae Kim Yong-ok was a prominent senior calligrapher who was born in Namhae, Gyeongnam, and primarily active in Busan. He founded the Korean Calligraphy Mission in 1972, serving as its president, and led the joint China-Japan-Korea Calligraphy Exhibition and the National Calligraphy Exhibition. He was recognized with an award at the National Art Exhibition (Gukjeon) and actively held calligraphy exhibitions in Japan, the United States, and Taiwan. He received the 18th Neulwon Cultural Award in 1976.

Mookhae's piece, written in the autumn of 1986 (丙寅晩秋), reads "可勉向正" (Gamyeonhyangjeong), signifying "One must strive and endeavor to move towards the right path and justice."

Mooksan's piece, written in the summer of 2001 (辛巳孟夏), reads "敬天愛人" (Gyeongcheon-aein), meaning "Respect Heaven and love people."

Both pieces are impressive works characterized by powerful brushstrokes. The condition is good, with some minor stains present. The dimensions of each artwork are 124x33 cm and 136x35 cm, respectively.

묵해 김용옥(1914~1998)선생은 경남 남해 출신으로 주로 부산에서 활동한 한국의 저명한 원로 서예가이며 1972년 한국서도선교회를 창립해 회장을 맡았고 한중일 합동서도전 전국서도민전을 주도했습니다.
대한민국 미술전인 국전 입선은 물론 일본 미국 대만 등 해외에서 활발한 서예전을 개최했습니다.
1976년 제18회 눌원문화상을 수상한 바 있습니다.
아들 김준기 선생의 약력은 마지막 이미지에 약력으로 대신합니다.

2점 모두 힘이 느껴지는 서체가 인상적인 작품입니다.
