This is a historical document from the Namyeong Mun Clan's Samgadong lineage, dating from the late Joseon Dynasty to the modern era. It is a rare and valuable piece of history, measuring 85cm wide and 30cm high.

The document is a 'Tongmun' (public notice) detailing the conflicts and stances within the clan regarding the relocation and re-establishment of the ancestral shrine for a distinguished ancestor ('Bulcheonwi/Bujo-myo'). It addresses disputes and protests concerning whether the actions aligned with the court's orders and traditional rites.

The issuing party, the Samgadong lineage, strongly asserts the legitimacy of honoring their ancestor and the importance of adhering to proper customs without distorting historical facts. This notice was widely distributed among clan members.

Issued on July 15th, Im-in year (either 1962 or 1985), by members of the Samgadong lineage clan in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, including Mun Yeong-hee, Mun Tae-dong, and Mun Ki-hwan, who identified themselves by name.

남평 문씨(南平文氏) 삼가동(三嘉洞) 종중의 문헌으로, 사당(불천위/부조묘)의 이건 및 복설(다시 세움) 문제를 두고 문중 내외의 갈등과 입장을 밝힌 통문(通공고문)입니다.

대현(대단한 학덕을 쌓은 선조)의 사당(불천위/부조묘)을 옮기거나(이건) 다시 세우는(복설) 과정에서, 조정의 명령과 예법에 맞는지에 대한 문중 간의 시시비비와 항의가 엇갈렸습니다.

이에 대해 발신 측(삼가동 종파문중)은 선조를 모시는 정당성과 역사적 사실을 왜곡하지 말고, 올바른 예를 지켜야 한다는 입장을 강력히 주장하며 문중원들에게 널리 알리고 있습니다.

임인년(1962년 또는 1985년) 7월 15일, 경남 합천군 삼가동 종파문중(慶南陜川郡三嘉洞宗派門中)의 여러 문인(문영희, 문태동, 문기환 등)들이 명의를 밝히고 통문을 내렸습니다.
