YANKEE is Kenshi Yonezu's major debut album and his second original album overall. It marks the first album released since his major debut, following his activities as the Vocaloid creator Hachi.

The album title, YANKEE, has multiple meanings and origins, but in interviews, it has been explained to signify immigration. This release includes a total of 15 tracks, featuring singles released after his major debut such as "Santa Maria" and "MAD HEAD LOVE / POPPN APPYSH" (POPPA APPYSH is not included), as well as a self-cover version of "Donut Hole," originally produced under the name Hachi using GUMI.

Released in three formats: the standard edition, the special illustrated book edition (with a 104-page art book), and the special video edition (with a DVD featuring the music videos for "Living Dead Youth" and "Eine Kleine").

YANKEE 는 요네즈 겐시의 메이저 1집, 통산 2집 오리지널 앨범.
보컬로이드 크리에이터 하치로 활동하던 요네즈에게 메이저 데뷔 이래 첫 앨범이다.
앨범명은 복수의 의미와 유래가 존재하지만 인터뷰에서는 이민이라는 의미로 표현되었다.
메이저 데뷔 이후 발표된 싱글 「산타 마리아」 「MAD HEAD LOVE/팝핀 아파시(팝핀 아파시는 미수록)」외, 하치 명의로 GUMI 를 이용해 제작된 「도넛 홀」의 셀프 커버 버전 등, 합계 15곡이 수록되었다.
초회 한정반인 화보집반과 영상반의 2형태에 더해 통상반의 합계 3형태로 발매.
화보집반은 104쪽에 이르는 일러스트집, 영상반은 리빙 데드 유스와 아이네크라이네 뮤직비디오를 담은 DVD가 나온다.
아이튠즈 연간 순위 'Best of 2014 올해의 베스트' 에서 본작이 올해의 베스트 앨범으로 수상됐다. 제7회 CD샵 대상 2015에서 상위 입상 8개 작품으로 선출되었다.
