It features a beautiful Zelkova wood grain on the front. The back, bottom, and sides are made from old pine wood, while the front is crafted from thinly sliced Zelkova wood, making it a rare piece of antique furniture.
This is not a modern imitation using film adhesives. Please do not compare it with inferior products.
Historically, this type of chest was used by ancestors to store jewelry and valuables, hence the lock mechanism on the front. It was created for use in noble households, not by commoners.
Although not from the Joseon Dynasty, it was constructed after liberation using wooden pegs. The brass fittings further enhance its elegance and quality.
Unlike products with film or melamine that deteriorate over time and require disposal, this piece can be resold for a higher value than its purchase price, making it an excellent investment item.

전면 느티나무결이 아주 아름다우며 뒤판과 하판 양옆은 고재 소나무로 재작하였으며 전면은
느티나무를 얇게 떠서 만든 아주 귀한 고가구 입니다.
요즘 나오는 필름을 붙여만든 기물이 아니니 허접품들과 비교는 하지 마시길 바랍니다.
옛 선조들께서 패물과 귀중품들을 보관하기 위해 사용하던것이라 전면에 잠금장치를 달아놓은 것이며
서민층에서 사용한것이 아닌 양반집 에서 사용하기 위해 만든 기물입니다.
비록 조선시대 기물이 아닌 해방후 나무못을 이용하여 만들어졌으며 장석은 황동
장석으로서 한층더 품격을 더해줍니다.
